This is an Italian made porcelain lidded basket, with capodimonte style fruit and floral motifs, and gold painted trim. It was imported from Italy exclusively for Bonwit Teller department store, which was headquartered in New York, and closed in 1990. The basket with lid on measures 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches.
