SEVRES HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN COVERED OVAL BOX, H 3 1/4″, W 6″, L 7 1/2″:Cobalt blue ground with raised gilt foliate and swag design; hand painted courting scene on the cover is illegibly signed, “Ch___ly”. Bottom marks in blue above the glaze consist of interlacing ‘L’s’ containing an ‘S’ and a triangle containing a ‘P’ and flanked by a ‘J’ and a ‘P’.
